Most of our publications are biographies or cover topics such as religion, history, spirituality, exploration, and coming-of-age novels. ▶ POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of a 1- to 2-month mandatory internship (eligible for university credit under a Student Placement Agreement), you will assist our international editorial team:

➡ Specialized Translation: Translating manuscripts from English, French, Spanish, or Italian into your native German.
➡ Literary Editing: Refining the German narrative, focusing on the mastery of the literary register (e.g., correct use of Präteritum and Konjunktiv).
➡ Terminology Research: Conducting deep research into historical, spiritual, and philosophical terms to ensure contextual accuracy.
➡ Mentorship: Receiving direct feedback and guidance from our Senior Editors.

▶ AT THE END OF THE INTERNSHIP

➡ Professional Recognition: If necessary conditions are met—specifically the completion of a significant portion of the manuscript—your name will appear as a translator or editor in the published work.
➡ Certification: You will receive a verified internship certificate (via Credentials.net) and a professional letter of recommendation upon successful completion.

▶ YOUR PROFILE

➡ Native Language: German (essential).
➡ Source Languages: High-level proficiency in English, French, Spanish, or Italian.
➡ Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
➡ Aptitude: A passion for "Vertical" subjects, an eye for detail, and the ability to move beyond literal translation to achieve an elegant, organic German flow.
➡ Selection Process: Please note that a comprehensive translation and editing test is a mandatory part of the application process to assess your literary depth.
