If you have a rental contract with us, the minimum rental period is one semester (6 months).

The notice period is 3 months to the end of the semester.

Only in the case of de-registration is it possible to terminate the contract at the earliest possible date, provided we have a new tenant available. Otherwise, the contractual notice period applies.

You can pick up the room keys from the house management and then move in whenever you have time. Moving in is not dependent on the handover.

Please follow the checklist below when moving out. Otherwise, you will have to clean again when your house manager checks you out, or the cleaning will be deducted from your deposit.

Your to-do checklist:

• Clean all furniture inside and out
• Defrost and clean the fridge (leave it open)
• Clean cooker thoroughly (remove burnt-on stains)
• Clean sockets and light switches
• Clean the inside and outside of the front door and room door
• Clean windows and window frames (no glue residue)
• Clean office chair and do not forget the castors
• Wash mattress cover
• Clean bathroom thoroughly (shower + strainer, walls, washbasin, toilet, also from below)
• Beat out the bathroom air filter
• Remove all traces of lime + mould
• Fill up holes with putty
• Do not leave any bulky waste with us

As with any other tenancy, you are responsible for your own keys. In case of loss, please inform your house management as soon as possible.

If you are lucky, this happens during the working hours of the house management and you can contact us directly. If it happens outside the working hours of the house management, your only option is to contact the regional locksmith. We always recommend leaving a key with a good friend.
