The Board of Directors

The Studierendenwerk Vorderpfalz is a legally independent institution under public law and consists of the management and administrative board. The management runs the affairs of the Studierendenwerk and represents it externally.

The administrative board advises and supervises the management. It decides on fundamental matters, unless the decision has been delegated to the management. Among other things, it approves the business plan and decides on the allocation of the annual surplus. Its responsibilities also include expanding or restricting the tasks of the Studierendenwerk, taking out loans, acquiring or selling real estate, setting student contributions and founding companies.
The Administrative Board consists of four professors (three of whom are entitled to vote) or academic staff members of the universities, five students and one person from the public sector. Furthermore, a chancellor appointed by the presidium of the universities within the area of responsibility is a member of the Administrative Board. The staff council (chair) is also a member of the Administrative Board. The term of office of the professorial members, the chancellor and the public figure is three years, and that of the students is two years.

The contribution regulations also apply beyond the last semester until further notice, unless the Administrative Board decides to change them. It must be approved by the Ministry of Science of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, as must any changes.

Guidelines for economic management
